03/01/18 Private well owners invited to take part in survey

running water

Private well owners or households that are part of a private group (ground) water scheme are being invited to take part in a new study that is looking at the affects flooding in Ireland has on groundwater (private wells) drinking quality, and human health.

This study, which is being carried out by researchers from UCD, TCD, DIT, and UL and is funded by GSI and IRC, includes an online survey and the researchers are keen to get as many participants as possible to complete this survey so as to ensure that they get a good representation of the concerns, experiences and opinions of the people affected by this issue.

Participants will also be offered the opportunity to get their water assessed and tested free of charge if the source is prone to flooding.
